We work within the urban development sector on commercial, industrial, educational, residential and health services projects.
Purpose of Role
You will work consistently to deliver projects and service clients with your team by leading the production of engineering design and documentation. As an intermediate member of the team you will report to the Team Leader or Section Manager and be responsible for assisting them with production, project tasks and client service. You will provide designs for earthworks, siteworks, pavement grading, roads, public domain and stormwater drainage, retaining walls, pavement and retaining wall structural design where required, and will be assigned a junior/graduate engineer to mentor, who will also provide direct support to you.

- Acquire professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and pursuing continual personal development.
- Assist in developing junior engineers by becoming a mentor, providing support and teaching.
Requirements of the role
- Civil Engineering Degree.
- Demonstrated minimum 4+ years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of applicable Australian Standards and Council Engineering Guidelines
- Knowledge of the planning approval process for DA, CC, CDC and OC
- Proven track record of success in project work.
- Knowledge of common and emerging civil engineering concepts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, DRAINS and MUSIC.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Knowledge of pavement and retaining wall structural design (desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, Tuflow and QGIS (desirable but not essential).
- Member of Engineers Australia (desirable but not essential).
- Advantageous to be pursuing additional skills and CPENG/NER accreditation.
- Must hold a White Card and a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive.
