Bruno Lara-Alvarez

Bruno holds Cert IVs in Eng Drafting – 3D Drafting and Building Construction, Revit and MEP approved and Australian BIM Management Accredited. He brings more than 20 years of in-field experience with a host of diverse projects and clients.

Bruno is an intuitive hydraulic designer and skilled drafting manager on hydraulic, mechanical, structural and civil works. Bruno is adept at 3D modelling and applying in-depth BIM systems to engineering design and documentation. He profoundly understands that benefits flow both ways when we stay at the forefront of technological advancements.

Under his leadership, Sparks+Partners have made a significant investment in Building Information Modelling (BIM), saving time and money on both sides of the project table – working smarter, not harder. Bruno confidently unleashes the full capabilities of information modelling.

Bruno leads the Sparks+Partners BIM-ready and efficient design team. The team’s combined design skills bring significant value-added benefits, such as faster project delivery, installation, better, more practical designs, and detailed coordination with other services and teams.

Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) has long been integral to the engineering field. BIM takes CAD to the next level; it fully integrates coordinated building information models to create visual 3D design walkthroughs. This enhances client understanding, ultimately ensuring fewer changes throughout the design and construction process.
  • In addition to BIM, we combine CAD Autodesk’s 3D modelling software and collaboration tools within the commonly used Navisworks Manage. This ensures effective projects management, with completion to design requirements and budgets through shared information points.
  • We encourage information sharing with external consultants as part of the delivery solution, and our multi-disciplinary method incorporates clash detection synchronisation to preserve data integrity.
  • We use BIM-generated data across applications and including common file formats (RVT, IFC, DWG, DGN and DXF).
