DHL Life Sciences & Healthcare Oakdale Industrial Estate South
Sparks And Partners Consulting Engineers were engaged by builders Prime Constructions consult on the construction of a 31,457m2 temperature-controlled warehouse for DHL which includes specialised cool rooms and freezers. The site also accommodates offices and amenities.
The project, built for end-client Goodman Australia and tenants DHL, adds to several projects now delivered by Prime Constructions and Sparks+Partners in the Oakdale Industrial Estate and in Sydney’s West.
Goodman Australia, in a joint venture with Brickworks, developed the warehouse and office facility for the pharmaceutical product storage of DHL’s Life Sciences & Healthcare division. The GDP-certified facility and temperature-controlled solution will help Australian pharmaceutical companies meet growing global healthcare needs.
The facility was constructed over 11-months, the site increases DHL’s footprint at Oakdale Industrial estate to approximately 180,000m2 across seven buildings. It continues to demonstrate the Goodman and DHL partnership.
Oakdale Industrial Estate is ideally positioned across western Sydney’s logistics hub of Eastern Creek, Kemps Creek and Horsley Park. Accessed via Old Wallgrove Road, the estate offers direct access to the M4 and M7 Motorways and unrivalled connections to the greater Sydney metropolitan areas.
The facility is part of the DHL’s ability to offer a wide range of transportation, storage and end-to-end supply chain solutions catering for temperature specific needs.
