Sparks+Partners Consulting Engineers and Niven Donnelly & Partners announce the official merger of their business operations. This exciting venture will bring to our clients and industry an unparalleled hydraulic and fire protection engineering service and bolsters an already dynamic multi-discipline firm. Sparks+Partners will acquire Niven Donnelly & Partners from 6 January 2020, and the merged company will operate under the Sparks+Partners Consulting Engineers brand.
Niven Donnelly & Partners (NDP), one of Sydney’s foremost hydraulic consultants since 1973, committed to excellence in engineering. Set out more than 40 years ago to design great hydraulic solutions for clients everywhere – no matter what their size or requirements. Helping clients and other small businesses thrive in today’s complex construction industry became their mission. This mission is also part of Sparks+Partners’ DNA. The joining forces of two companies as passionate about engineering solutions and project success as Sparks+Partners and NDP is what takes both businesses into the next chapter.

Sparks+Partners’ acquisition of NDP provides a significant growth opportunity for both businesses through deepened knowledge and an extended service offering for clients. “To sustain our businesses, we required more resources and capabilities to continue delivering exceptional design and value, and this acquisition puts us in the best position to continue on that journey, together,” said Mr Dimino.
Niven Donnelly & Partners’ Directors, Peter Donnelly and Viorica Steinhaus along with valued staff, will become a part of the Sparks+Partners team and will move to Parramatta during January. Parramatta is the vibrant hub of Western Sydney, a key growth area, with new development, jobs and major projects planned for the future. The NDP Directors will continue to help lead their dedicated and skilled team under the umbrella of Sparks+Partners Consulting Engineers.
The acquisition will result in the same great service across a broad field of disciplines and projects, with more resources to better serve them and the industry as a whole.
