Benjamin Barrett

Ben holds a BE Civil and is a Chartered Professional (Civil & Structural). On the National and Queensland Engineering Registers, he is a Registered Practitioner in Victoria and a Member of Engineers Australia, bringing more than 15-years of in-field experience.

A well-rounded professional and chartered civil and structural engineer, Ben displays a habit of excellence. He is a confident leader carrying abilities built on a strong foundation of education and experience. He brings an expert level of technical skills and onsite knowledge combined with strong organisational, communication and professional capabilities.

Ben works hand-in-hand with the other core disciplines at Sparks+Partners to build better solutions. He leads our dedicated civil engineering division. Who complement our existing in-house skills and services by providing a natural transition from internal hydraulics to external civil services.

Under Ben’s guidance, the dynamic civil team has worked on hundreds of projects. From single-dwelling residential extensions to complete subdivisions, industrial and commercial developments, institutional and public works. He operates across all stages of a build, including initial concept designs, budgeting, authority approvals and liaisons, construction and most importantly, final client delivery.

Ben and the team at Sparks+Partners can perform detailed 3D modelling using 12D, Civil 3D and Civil Site Design software from a technology perspective. We can deliver drainage modelling using 12D DRAINS and HEC-RAS and water quality modelling using the MUSIC program.
