The Newmarket development is over 5 hectares in size and will be an unprecedented offering in Randwick, providing 642 residential dwellings and approximately 2,300 sqaare metres of mixed commercial and retail accommodation.  The masterplan comprises 17 residential apartment buildings ranging from 3 to 8-storeys to be developed in three stages.

Cbus Property will include terraced lawn seating, a large open green space, a community barbecue and seating area with a series of outdoor garden rooms as part of the 5,000sqm public park.  It is also envisioned the existing Sales Ring structure will be retained and transformed into a large children’s playground in another nod to the important history of the site.

Cbus Property appointed four architecture firms, Bates Smart, Neeson Murcutt Architects, Smart Design Studio and SJB, to design the masterplanned site.

Ganellan will begin construction on on stage one of the huge residential complex, with 1.5 per cent of apartments are guaranteed for affordable housing and is due for completion in early 2021.
