The Role

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As an intermediate within the team, you will report to the team leader or section manager and be responsible for assisting them with production, tasks, and client service.

GOALS OF THE ROLE
We are a performance-based organisation that measures on achievements rather than tasks completed or hours at work. Your expected achievements in this role include:

  1. To ensure that you assist the team deliverables and complete individual projects on time, on budget, and to company and client’s expectations and applicable standards.
  2. To manage the risk of doing business by complying with all non-technical processes and systems outlined in the applicable documents. This is especially relevant when it comes to ISO 9001 standards.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
The minimum experience required and key capabilities of the role.

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (2-5 years).
  • Established hydraulic engineering and design practice, including wastewater, sanitary, drainage, and hot and cold water.
  • Led projects and related support functions.
  • Demonstrated array of project experience.
  • Built and fostered strong client relations.
  • Adept in MS Office (Word/Excel essential).
  • Understanding of AS, BCA, and local regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
  • Excellent communicator with comprehensive verbal and written skills.
  • Outstanding professional conduct.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative.
  • Collaborative team member and player.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal input and supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum and preferred qualifications outlined, and equivalent qualifications considered.

  • Diploma of Hydraulic Engineering Services or equivalent.
  • Trade background in plumbing, Hydraulic TAFE Diploma, or BSc in Civil or Mechanical Engineering welcomed.
  • Preferred membership of a relevant professional association (such as the HCAA) or you qualify to join.
